The Golden Isles Welcome Center provides information on local attractions, restaurants, and businesses.
It also has a gift shop filled with Golden Isles inspired items.
Open Monday-Saturday 9am to 5pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.

This area of the island is full of shops and restaurants.
Free parking, public restrooms, pier, and park with playground also nearby.

The St. Simons Island Lighthouse and Museum
101 12th St, St. Simons Island
Visit one of the few active lighthouses in Georgia. Built in 1872 to replace a light built in 1810, the lighthouse and its museum allows visitors to discover the rich history of the site and the development of lighthouse technology.
Open Monday-Saturday 9am to 5pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.
Admission is $12 for Adults and $6 for Kids 6 to 12 years old. Combined tickets for the Lighthouse and Home Front Museum available at $20 for adults and $10 for Kids 6 to 12 years old.

World War II Home Front Museum
4201 1st St, St. Simons Island
Housed in the historic St. Simons Coast Guard station, the World War II Home Front Museum allows you to learn about Georgia’s contribution to the war effort.
Proud part of Georgia’s World War II Heritage Trail.
Open Monday-Saturday 9am to 5pm, and Sunday 12pm to 5pm.

A. W. Jones Heritage Center

Located near the lighthouse campus, the heritage center houses local history exhibits and a store of island inspired gifts.

Fort Frederica National Monument
6515 Frederica Rd, St. Simons Island
Fort Frederica was established in 1736 by James Oglethorpe to help protect other British colonies further north. Fort Frederica National Monument highlights the lives and struggles of the inhabitants of the area.
Grounds Open Daily 9am to 5pm. Visitor Center and Gift Shop Open Wednesday-Sunday 9am to 5pm.

The Literary Guild of the St. Simons Island Library Bookstore

The Guild operates a used bookstore with reasonable prices and the funds directly support the library.

Once the host of the nation’s most affluent. The Club and its surroundings are open to all.
The clubhouse has a number of offerings including historical displays, a gift shop and lunch counter.

Mosaic: Jekyll Island’s History Museum
100 Stable Road, Jekyll Island.
Mosaic recounts the rich history of Jekyll Island. Tours of historic cottages and the club available.
Admission is $10 for all 4 years and up. Three years and under are free. Tours are an additional charge.

Georgia Sea Turtle Center
214 Stable Road, Jekyll Island.
The center is Georgia’s only sea turtle education and rehabilitation facility.
A visit includes exhibits on sea turtles and other marine life, a view into the rehabilitation hospital’s operating room, and the rehabilitation tank area.
Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for kids ages 4 to 12 years old.
